This post contains pictures for the week ending June 15, 2014.  The concrete footings have been poured and the concrete crew is putting the finishing touches on the footings and preparing the forms for the stemwall concrete.  The wooden forms are being erected and “shot” with a laser level based on a benchmark that the surveyor set, thus enabling the concrete crew to build their forms and have the finished concrete be the exact level specified on the plans. The metal bars with the orange protective covers are steel rebar used to strengthen the concrete. The grey pipe depicted is an electrical conduit allowing electrical utilities to enter the building through the footing and into the wall.
