February 2017 Tahoe Quarterly – Defying Style

During the initial phase of this Martis Camp project, the owners wanted nothing more than a durable second home that catered to their family’s active lifestyle. But as the project evolved, so, too, did their tastes and desires.

“We started off more on the hard-working and functional side of things, but then we ended up getting more into the architecture of it,” says the San Francisco based owner, who prefers to remain anonymous. “We kept seeing things that caught our attention and we realized that we really love the clean, modern aesthetic.”
